It’s Fire House 5k time! Runners and walkers, get your registration form at Town Hall!

The annual WVFD Fire House 5k is one of the area’s most anticipated events. USATF-Certified course, shotgun start, awards for top finishers in each age bracket, and dozens of door prizes! It’s sure to be a fun and rewarding event for all ages! All proceeds go directly to support the Walnut Volunteer Fire Department!

Race shirts are guaranteed to the first 150 entries so don’t wait!

Color Me Cured 5k Run and Walk

Saturday, November 9, 2024 @ 9am 

This fun 5k event adds the twist of having colored powders thrown at you at each kilometer mark. The event will be untimed. Awards for finishing order are not planned. The event is meant to celebrate our local heroes living with T1D, bring awareness and education to our community, and to promote health, wellness, and fun.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the Junvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. JDRF’s goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until we achieve a world without T!D. JDRF is the only organization with the scientific resources, regulatory influence, and a working plan to better treat, prevent, and eventually cure T1D.
